Winchester Education Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members: Marie Imoh & Dawn Devine

The Winchester Education Foundation (WEF) is proud to announce the appointment of two outstanding community leaders—Marie Imoh and Dawn Devine—to its Board of Directors, each beginning a three-year term on July 1, 2025.

Marie Imoh brings a deep well of experience in public education leadership, having served on the Winchester Public School Board from 2015 to 2024, including two years as Chair from 2021 to 2023. Her tenure was marked by strategic leadership and a firm commitment to equity and educational excellence. Marie’s continued service on the Valley Health System Board of Trustees and her past role with the Westminster Canterbury Foundation demonstrate a strong dedication to community wellbeing. Her firsthand understanding of how thoughtful funding can elevate public education makes her an invaluable addition to the WEF Board.

Dawn Devine, Executive Director of the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, joins the Board with a passionate commitment to early childhood development and lifelong learning. Through her work, she has championed creativity, curiosity, and access to educational opportunities for all. Dawn’s collaboration with Winchester Public Schools through the Early Childhood Program, along with her personal connection as a parent of a John Handley High School graduate, reflect her longstanding investment in student success and community growth.

“We’re thrilled to welcome both Marie and Dawn to the Board,” said the Officers and Directors of the Winchester Education Foundation. “Their expertise, leadership, and personal ties to Winchester Public Schools will help drive our mission forward—to support students, educators, and programs that make a lasting impact.”

Please join us in welcoming Marie Imoh and Dawn Devine to the Winchester Education Foundation. Their energy and insight will help shape the future of education in our community.
