Larry Weiss

The Winchester Education Foundation has selected Larry Weiss to succeed the late Russell Potts Jr. as Executive Director.

Weiss joins the Winchester Education Foundation after serving as Executive Director of the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Weiss managed the WINC group of stations headquartered in Winchester from 2016 until his retirement in 2019.

Involvement in community life has been in a staple in Larry’s life. A Rotarian since 1981, Weiss has served on numerous other Boards and industry groups during his career. Currently he is a member of the Winchester Rotary Club and volunteers on the Steering Committee of the Nonprofit Alliance of the Northern Shenandoah Valley in addition to serving as President and Lay Leader at Beth El Congregation in Winchester.

Larry and his wife Cathy live in Frederick County.
